SANY Ships Equipment for First Wind Power Project in Chile

SANY Renewable Energy Co., Ltd., a publicly listed subsidiary of SANY Group, has dispatched the core equipment for its first wind power project in Chile—the 18 MW PURRANQUE project—from Tianjin Port. The company is responsible for providing integrated supply, transportation, and installation services for the project. Supported by detailed logistics planning, efficient multimodal transport coordination, and professional customs-clearance assistance, the shipment highlights SANY's strong end-to-end project delivery capabilities.

As one of Latin America's leading nations in energy transition, Chile has set a target of generating 70 percent of its electricity from renewable energy sources by 2030. The country's abundant wind resources and supportive policy environment continue to drive demand for wind power infrastructure. For the PURRANQUE project, SANY customized its technical solution to suit Chile's unique geographical and climatic conditions, ensuring dependable performance in challenging environments. The company's ability to adapt technology to local requirements has played an important role in building trust among international customers.

This shipment is not SANY's first overseas delivery. Since accelerating its international expansion in 2022, the company has established subsidiaries and local teams across Europe, South Asia, Central Asia, and Africa. These efforts have enabled it to build a global delivery network covering major markets worldwide. SANY Group currently operates 17 manufacturing facilities outside China, along with more than 900 service outlets and nearly 1,000 spare-parts warehouses. Its strengths span the entire value chain, including research and development, design, product testing, intelligent manufacturing, and dependable supply and delivery systems.

The company's capabilities are reinforced by advanced technological infrastructure, including the wind power industry's first lighthouse factory dedicated to smart blade manufacturing and China's first—and the world's largest—35 MW six-degree-of-freedom full-system test bench. In the broader heavy machinery sector, SANY recently supplied a 400-tonne SY4000H hydraulic mining excavator to an overseas customer, representing a significant milestone in the global high-end mining equipment market. The company has also delivered its first SY1250H large mining excavator in Europe, where it is currently operating at an open-pit coal mine.

As renewable energy continues to transform the global energy landscape, SANY remains focused on providing technologies that support sustainable development and industrial advancement. Through close collaboration with customers, partners, and local communities, the company seeks to generate long-term value beyond products and projects, helping create a future where economic growth and environmental responsibility progress together.
