Sapher, Punjab Govt Join Hands for Solar Projects

Renewable energy company Sapher has announced a strategic partnership with the Punjab government to invest in solar farm development across the state.

The company plans to focus on high-potential locations such as Fazilka and Ferozepur, aiming to boost the state's renewable energy capacity. The initiative will be executed in collaboration with Punjab Genco, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Punjab Energy Development Agency (PEDA).

In addition to solar energy, Sapher is also exploring solutions to address challenges in canal-based hydropower, ensuring a balance between water conservation and sustainable energy generation.

As a global leader in renewable energy solutions, Sapher's investment is expected to enhance Punjab’s green energy infrastructure while supporting India's broader clean energy goals.
