Shakti Pumps Showcases Solar Water Pumps At Krishi Darshan Expo

Shakti Pumps (India) Limited attended the Krishi Darshan Expo at the Northern Region Farm Machinery Training and Testing Institute (NRFMT & TI), Hisar, Haryana, from 14 to 16 February 2026, an event hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare that provided a platform for farmers to examine equipment and technology. The company showcased recent developments in solar water pumping and micro-irrigation to farmers, dealers and government officials. The appearance formed part of the firm’s outreach to promote sustainable farming practices.

Exhibits centred on solar water pumps, alongside round and flat drip lines, HDPE and sprinkler pipes and a range of micro-irrigation products made with modern manufacturing processes to ensure strength and efficiency. Live demonstrations gave farmers practical insight into energy savings, performance and low maintenance needs, while technical staff offered on-site guidance on adopting water-efficient irrigation methods. The demonstrations sought to translate product features into achievable farm benefits.

The company reported installations of 250,000 pumps nationwide, a milestone marketing leaders said illustrated its role in supporting livelihoods and improving farm resilience. The expo provided an opportunity to gather farmer feedback and to discuss scalable solutions under the Atmanirbhar Kisan initiative, emphasising reductions in input costs and improvements in irrigation reliability for those transitioning from diesel or grid systems. Installations were linked to engagement with government-led programmes and off-grid solar initiatives that widened access to renewable irrigation technologies.

With operations in more than 100 countries and four decades of experience, Shakti Pumps offers over 1,200 product variants supported by more than 16 technology patents and in excess of 30 global certifications, reflecting investment in innovation and quality. The company framed its solar pumping portfolio as central to national efforts to promote energy-efficient agricultural equipment and to aid farmers shifting to cleaner energy sources. Continued deployments across states reinforced claims of sector leadership and lasting commitment to sustainable outcomes.
