THDC India Seeks Consultants for Nationwide Floating Solar Projects

THDC India has announced a call for bids to empanel a technical consulting agency to prepare feasibility reports for floating solar power projects across various locations in India over the next three years. The ambitious initiative will span multiple states, including Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Rajasthan, and Maharashtra.

Interested bidders must submit their proposals by August 5, 2024. The bids will be opened the following day. As part of the submission process, bidders are required to provide an earnest money deposit of ?86,000 (~$1,029).

The chosen consultant must furnish a performance bank guarantee amounting to 5% of the contract price within 28 days of receiving the letter of award. Additionally, bidders are advised to familiarize themselves with local conditions at their own expense and consider visiting the project sites and attending the pre-bid conference to gather essential information.

Eligibility criteria stipulate that bidders must have a minimum of three years of experience in providing consultancy services for pre-feasibility or detailed project report studies of solar projects. Furthermore, they should have prepared and submitted at least two pre-feasibility or detailed project reports for grid-connected floating solar projects with an installed capacity of at least 10 MW, accepted by their clients in the last seven years.

Financially, the bidders should have an average annual turnover of no less than ?2.59 million (~$31,019) over the past three financial years, with a net worth that is not negative as of the last financial year and has not eroded by more than 30% in the last three years.

This announcement follows THDC India?s previous request in December for proposals from consultants to develop a feasibility report for floating solar power projects in Maharashtra's Godavari Marathwada region. This new bid invitation signifies THDC India?s ongoing commitment to expanding renewable energy infrastructure across the nation.
