Waaree Energies Secures Order for 212 MW Solar Modules

Waaree Energies has received an international order to supply 212 megawatt (MW) solar modules to a renowned customer that owns and manages utility-scale renewable power projects. The latest order is incremental to an existing 350 MW contract from the same customer, taking the total order capacity to 562 MW. The supply of the 212 MW solar modules is scheduled for execution during FY2026-27.

The company stated that the order does not constitute a related-party transaction and clarified that neither its promoters nor members of the promoter group have any interest in the award of the contract. Headquartered in Mumbai, Waaree Energies offers innovative solar solutions including panel manufacturing, engineering, procurement and construction services, project development and rooftop systems. The firm will execute the supply under existing operational arrangements.

On a consolidated basis, the company reported a 71.4 per cent year on year jump in net profit to Rs 10,611.0 million (mn) in the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2026, compared with Rs 6,189.1 million (mn) in the same quarter last year. Revenue from operations surged 111.8 per cent year on year to Rs 84,802.5 million (mn) for the quarter ended 31 March 2026. These results reflected stronger sales and higher capacity realisation.

Shares of Waaree Energies rose 0.17 per cent to Rs 2,835 on the BSE following the announcement, and market participants noted the impact on the company order book. The added order enhances the company pipeline and supports its international footprint without altering promoter interests. Management will proceed with scheduled shipments in the stated financial year.

The incremental contract and the earlier 350 MW award together underline continued demand for utility-scale solar modules from established developers, while the company maintains its focus on manufacturing scale and project delivery. The addition to the order book is likely to contribute to revenue visibility for the coming year.
