We are geographically increasing our reach

For Ulma Formwork Systems India, bauma has been effective and useful to meet new customers who have started enquiring about their systems. “We could get to see some innovative systems by companies who are in the formwork business, and it is a lot of learning,” says Surajit Ray, Managing Director, as he shares more…

One pathbreaking offering: We have introduced a new recoverable modular slab formwork system known as Onadek, which has flexible configuration. The components are hot-dip galvanised steel and it comes with a drop-head system enabling early striking. The system can adapt to flat slabs along with solutions for intersection with columns, drop beams and capitals of any size. The grid size adapts to a plyboard size available in the market. The system ensures greater productivity, safety and quality than any other systems in the market.

Demand drivers in 2019: The building segment will continue to have more intake for system formworks such as ours.
Announcement contributing to the company’s growth in 2018: We have primarily been into sales all this time. We have now started rental options for slab formwork and vertical panel systems.

Challenge for the company in 2019: While the market is growing, so are formwork suppliers. The return of money in the long run is better for our products, but at the point of purchase there is always competition. We are also developing innovative modules of the same system to be cost-effective without compromising on technicality or product quality.

Key strategy to success in 2019: We are geographically increasing our reach to many other zones of India. We are expecting to be closer to our customers with an increase in the capacity of our warehouse, office and people.

Recommendation for growth of the construction equipment market: Contractors or construction companies should build their stock of various formwork systems because these components have high durability of 10-15 years and can be used repetitively for any form of horizontal or vertical structures. Any sort of initial investments in our type of formwork system always provides better value for money in the long run.
