Jammu and Kashmir administration has aimed to complete 100,000 developmental projects and build 54,000 dwellings under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G) in the fiscal year 2022-23. During this period, it also plans to provide internet connectivity to all gram panchayats as well as build or renovate 700 panchayat houses across the Union Territory. The rural sector has reportedly received an allocation of Rs 46.28 bn under capital expenditure for 2022-23, which is Rs 3.27 bn more than the previous year's budget allocation. 42.6 mn person days are expected to be generated through the MGNREGA in 2022-23, with 60,000 work cards slated to be given based on demand. Contact: Government of Jammu and KashmirTel: 0191-2479 692Website: www.jk.gov.in
