The new terminal building of the Shirdi airport would be commissioned in May 2024, about a year after its construction starts in April next year. Maharashtra Airport Development Company (MADC) has been issued instructions to immediately complete all the processes pertaining to the construction of the airport's new terminal building. Rs 3.50 billion has been approved for the project. At present, the final design of the new terminal building is on. MADC would float the tender for its construction in December-end or early next year. Once the work is awarded, it will take 18 months to complete the building and commission it for operations.
