According to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), the construction of the 10.58 km Mumbai Coastal Road project is likely to be completed by November 2023. After completion, it will add an 8.5 km long and 20 m wide sea promenade in Mumbai between Priyadarshini Park at Napean Sea Road and the Worli side of the Bandra Worli Sea Link. Chandradhar Kandalkar, in charge of the project, said that more than 50 per cent of the project work is completed and construction work is on track. It will include a butterfly garden and a biodiversity park and an underground parking for 1,864 vehicles. Of the 111 ha of reclaimed space, 70 ha will be used for recreation spaces and amenities, 26.5 ha for interchanges and 14.5 ha for a sea wall.
