Michelin opens new tyre and service outlet in Kanpur

Michelin India has expanded its retail footprint in Uttar Pradesh with the opening of a new Michelin Tyres & Services (MTS) outlet in Kanpur in partnership with HJ Wheels. Located in Harsh Nagar, the new facility is aimed at improving access to Michelin's products and after-sales services for customers in Kanpur and neighbouring regions.

The outlet offers Michelin's range of passenger car, SUV and two-wheeler tyres, including the Primacy, Pilot Sport, Latitude Sport and LTX Trail series. It also provides tyre-related services and automotive accessories, offering customers a one-stop destination for tyre sales, maintenance and vehicle care.

The facility was inaugurated by Annu Mehla, Regional Sales Head – B2C (North and East), Michelin India, along with the HJ Wheels team.

Commenting on the expansion, Shantanu Deshpande, Managing Director, Michelin India, said Kanpur is an important market in the company's North India growth strategy, driven by a strong automotive customer base and increasing demand for premium mobility products. He added that the company is preparing to introduce made-in-India passenger car tyres while continuing to expand access to its products and services.

Michelin said the expansion aligns with the city's growing infrastructure development, improved connectivity and increasing demand for premium automotive solutions. The company has partnered with HJ Wheels, an automotive aftermarket business established in 1989, to strengthen its retail presence in the region.
