SAMIL sets new benchmark; conducts 100 auctions across 100 locations

Shriram Automall India (SAMIL), India’s leading marketplace for pre-owned vehicles and equipment, celebrated SAMIL Freedom Auction on August 13, 2022 by conducting 100 auctions at 100 locations pan India to provide freedom to buyers to bid on their preferred pre-owned vehicles and equipment on the occasion of 75 years of India’s Independence.

A wide range of pre-owned vehicles and equipment across all segments like cars, trucks, construction equipment, farm equipment, two-wheelers, and three-wheelers were available for acquisition and disposal under a single roof.

Over 10,000 pre-owned vehicles and equipment and other assets from a full spectrum of sellers across consumers, banks, NBFCs, insurance companies, OEMs and dealers, leasing, rental and aggregator companies, brokers, transporters, and contractors were displayed and ramped. Thus, the company provided Power of Choice to its customers to buy their preferred vehicles and equipment from a huge range of inventories.

The company provided a unique experience to both buyers and sellers where it recorded footfalls of over 15,000 customers at 100 Automalls from tier I, II, and III cities across India in a single day.

During the SAMIL Freedom Auction, the company provided Phygital Solutions (Physical plus Digital) integrating with new edge technologies like Desktop Live Bidding and MySAMIL App with an aim to create all-inclusive mobility solutions for buyers and sellers. Interested customers also participated in Live Streaming of auctions on MySAMIL mobile App. This feature allowed customers to watch the vehicles of their choice in real-time at any ongoing auction across India.

Overall, SAMIL Freedom Auction 2022 achieved around Rs 100 crore worth of asset transactions in a single day.
