Scholz and Habeck Visit Flender at Hannover Messe

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz visited Flender’s booth at Hannover Messe 2025, accompanied by Lower Saxony’s Prime Minister Stephan Weil and Canadian Ambassador Stéphane Dion. Flender, a leader in mechanical engineering, demonstrated its AI-driven digital transformation, showcasing how gearboxes can now be customized in just 5 clicks. CEO Andreas Evertz highlighted the impact of AIQ technology, which enables real-time monitoring and predictive maintenance, enhancing industrial efficiency and competitiveness.

During the visit, Chancellor Scholz explored Flender’s gearbox intelligence system, which provides proactive maintenance alerts and operational insights. This digital transformation allows Flender to manufacture highly customized gearboxes with the efficiency of mass production, marking a major advancement in industrial drive technology.

The following day, Federal Minister of Economics Robert Habeck visited Flender and was presented with an XXL wrench in appreciation of his contributions to wind energy expansion in Germany. Flender, a key supplier of wind energy solutions, emphasized its role in driving sustainability through AI-driven predictive maintenance and precision-engineered components.

Flender’s innovations in AI-driven gearbox intelligence are set to reduce downtime, cut maintenance costs, and optimize resource use, positioning Germany as a leader in industrial digitalization and engineering excellence.

Delhi International Airport Ltd (DIAL) is finalising a 20-year master plan to guide long term infrastructure and operational development at Indira Gandhi International Airport, an official said.
