ACREX India 2019, the 20th edition of South Asia’s largest show for HVAC&R industry kicked off with a grand inauguration ceremony on February 28, 2019 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai. The three-day exhibition has emerged as an unparalleled benchmark for HVAC&R industry by facilitating endless opportunities for companies to showcase their products and expand their business. C Subramanium, National President, ISHRAE said, “Through ACREX India, we are aiming to build an exceptional platform for the whole HVAC&R industry and are happy to see the response. As the demand for air conditioning solutions is rising, we see a bright future for HVAC&R industry in India.”

The exhibition was inaugurated in the presence of key dignitaries such as C Subramaniam, ISHRAE National President, Vishal Kapur, NSC-Chair, Krishnan, ACREX 2019 Chairman, Kapil Purandare, ACREX 2019 Convenor, Sheila J Hayter, ASHRAE President, Sonia Prashar, Managing Director, NuernbergMesse India, Sangita Jhangiani, ISHRAE Mumbai Chapter President, Nandkumar Mahajan, ISHRAE Thane Chapter President, Alex Wang, Global Sales Director, Sanhua India, Kanwaljeet Jawa, Managing Director and CEO, Daikin Air Conditioning India (DAIPL), Ravichandran, President, Danfoss Industries, Anil George, Dy Managing Director, Voltas, Eric Braganza, President, Haier Appliance India, and Gurmeet Singh, Managing Director, Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air conditioning.

With a focus on themes like Building Automation (BMS) and Indoor Air Quality (IAQ), ACREX India 2019 believes in contributing towards the rapid growth of Indian HVAC industry. Driven by evolving needs and lifestyle of the Indian consumers, India HVAC&R market is expected to surpass $7.0 billion in 2019. While the international market in HVAC&R has been growing at approximately 7 per cent, the market demand in India has always been higher than the global demands by almost 30-40 per cent and that’s what makes India a great destination for various manufacturers to spread their base in India. The HVAC&R industry has established its significance as it is widely utilised in the major economy driving industries whether it is IT, agriculture, retail or the real estate sector. By leveraging commercial HVAC services, developers can see major operational improvements as it contributes towards profitability, energy savings and consumer satisfaction.

As the industry is noticing a rapid growth, ACREX India is also becoming grander than before by offering opportunity to all participants to reach relevant stakeholders and decision-makers. The show has grown remarkably over the years and has emerged as a unique launch pad for potential business-enabling collaborations in the HVAC&R sector, guiding the integrated building solutions.

At ACREX India 2019, visitors gained access to insightful seminars and workshops by the subject experts from varied fields, while the topics ranged from energy efficiency, green buildings, indoor air quality, refrigerant and IoT. Some of the very engaging sessions were also conducted by international associations such as ASHRAE, REHVA (Federation of European Heating, Ventilating and Air-conditioning Associations), CAR, CEEW (Council On Energy, Environment and Water), Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Trades Association (RATA), AIACRA and IAQA (Indoor Air Quality Association) and many others.
