Avani Brand Debuts in India with Visakhapatnam Beach Resort

Minor Hotels has announced its entry into the Indian market with the launch of its Avani Hotels & Resorts brand. The flagship property, Avani+ Sunray Beach Visakhapatnam Resort, is a luxury new-build development set on Sunray Beach, featuring 117 hotel rooms and 58 branded residential villas.

Scheduled for completion by 2028, the resort will offer multiple dining options, including a speciality restaurant and an all-day dining space, along with leisure and wellness facilities such as an AvaniSpa, AvaniFit gym, a beach bar, and a nine-hole par-three golf course. Developed in partnership with Sunray Green Space Pvt Ltd, the project is expected to set a new hospitality standard in Visakhapatnam, a city seeing rapid growth in its commercial and tourism sectors. The resort will also cater to the meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE) market.

Dillip Rajakarier, Group Chief Executive Officer of Minor International and Chief Executive Officer of Minor Hotels, noted that the Avani brand will bring contemporary design and premium hospitality to one of India’s most dynamic coastal cities.
