The foundation stone for the Vajpayee Nagar housing scheme at Belagavi was recently laid by the local member of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. The scheme was introduced by former Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee and aims to provide free homes to poor people in slums.
