Foundation stone laid for housing scheme at Belagavi

The foundation stone for the Vajpayee Nagar housing scheme at Belagavi was recently laid by the local member of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. The scheme was introduced by former Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee and aims to provide free homes to poor people in slums. Over 250 houses are being built under the Vajpayee Avash Yojana.

“These houses are built as apartments, so we can all live together as one family,” the people present were told. Beneficiaries were also warned not to give any money to pretended mediators to get their houses.
