Godrej Group Plans Systematic Development of 1,000 Acre in Vikhroli

The Godrej Enterprise Group (GEG), one of Mumbai’s largest landholders, is preparing a masterplan to systematically develop its 1,000-acre land parcel in suburban Vikhroli, while continuing manufacturing operations at the site.

“We will continue to have manufacturing in Vikhroli, and are undertaking a master planning exercise to guide systematic development over time,” said Nyrika Holkar, Executive Director, GEG.

The land, primarily owned by Jamshyd Godrej and Smita Crishna following a recent family settlement, houses several Godrej & Boyce businesses, IT company leases, and ecologically sensitive mangroves. Holkar clarified that GEG is not considering data centre projects as no spare land is available.
