Gujarat HC pulls up state government again on RERA

The state administration was criticized by the Gujarat High Court once more for failing to designate members and the chairman of the Gujarat Real Estate Board. respectively, the Regulatory Authority (RERA) and its appellate tribunal.

When the government promised that the vacancies in these bodies would be filled quickly, the bench of Chief Justice Sunita Agarwal and Justice Aniruddha Mayee wanted an explanation from the officials in question. Chief Justice's remark:

"You established these tribunals to lessen the load on the courts. You are unable to avoid these appointments. You prevent Gujarat's residents from accessing remedies.
