HBS Revives Vintage Glamour in Modern Interiors

Harkaran Boparai Studio is bringing vintage-inspired design into contemporary homes through interiors that combine nostalgia, craftsmanship and modern functionality. The multidisciplinary studio reinterprets old-world aesthetics with a refined approach, creating spaces that feel layered, intimate and quietly luxurious.

Founded in 2017, with studios in Delhi and Amritsar, HBS has built a reputation for immersive interiors where architecture, furniture and collectible design come together with precision. Led by Harkaran Singh Boparai, the studio draws inspiration from heritage homes, old libraries and European salons while ensuring every space remains suited to modern living.

The interiors use rich walnut woodwork, brass inlays, carved furniture and heritage-inspired rugs to create a sense of history. Deep jewel tones, textured fabrics, traditional motifs and artisanal detailing are balanced with clean architectural lines and uncluttered layouts, allowing the spaces to remain sophisticated without feeling overly ornamental.

Rather than recreating vintage interiors exactly, HBS translates their emotional depth into homes designed for present-day lifestyles. Its approach focuses on craftsmanship, proportion and material quality, using fluted woodwork, marble surfaces, antique-inspired accents and curated objects with restraint.

The studio works across residential, hospitality and commercial projects, while also designing furniture, lighting, wall coverings and collectible objects. Its design language reflects classical references, contemporary refinement and a strong focus on art, craftsmanship and modern luxury.
