PWD Begins Rs 22M Facelift Near Delhi BJP’s New Office

With the Delhi BJP gearing up to shift to its under-construction multi-storey state office on DDU Marg, the Public Works Department has kicked off a Rs 22.3 million road revamp project in the area.

The work includes resurfacing roads, fixing potholes, cleaning and repairing drains, and installing LED streetlights. Road markings and painting are also part of the plan, and officials aim to wrap up the project in a month.

“The approach road is in bad shape. We're taking up civil and electrical upgrades to improve access to the new office,” a senior PWD official said.

The BJP's current office on Pandit Pant Marg has limited space and parking, prompting the shift. The new office, located close to the party's national HQ, is expected to be ready in a month or two, according to a party functionary.

Under construction since 2023, the DDU Marg office will feature basement parking, meeting rooms, and a conference hall to accommodate the party’s growing organisational needs.
