TUDA to auction 145 acres of Surappakasam lands near Tirupati

The Tirupati Urban Development Authority (TUDA) is preparing to auction off Surappakasam lands, which span 145 acres in Renigunta Mandal near Tirupati, in a phased manner to collect Rs 300 crore.

TUDA vice-chairman S Hari Krishna told media that following the approval of TUDA chairman Dr Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy and the state government of Andhra Pradesh, a total of 971 plots, including 876 residential plots and 95 premium plots, will be put up for e-auction in a transparent manner starting March 5.

Padmavathi Nagar TUDA township, which is only 10 km from Tirupati airport and 11 km from the railway station, has been named after the renowned township. The plots have been divided into six separate categories, with plots designated for both the economically disadvantaged and the high-income groups by TUDA.

While TUDA will commence an e-auction procedure to bid for the plots on March 5th, the full auction process will be carried out in stages to raise about Rs 300 crore.

TUDA wants to invest around Rs.100 crore to establish roads, build different amenities, and infrastructure within the township using monies raised from the sale of plots. The landscaping effort includes the creation of nine parks throughout the township.
