Cyient Semiconductors Inks Pact With GlobalFoundries

Cyient Semiconductors Private Limited, a rapidly growing custom silicon firm, has signed a strategic Channel Partner Agreement with GlobalFoundries (GF), one of the world's leading pure-play semiconductor foundries. Under this collaboration, Cyient Semiconductors becomes an authorised reseller of GF’s semiconductor manufacturing technologies and services.
This partnership aims to broaden access to GlobalFoundries’ advanced manufacturing capabilities and energy-efficient process technologies. As a channel partner, Cyient Semiconductors will offer companies a wide range of services—including fabrication access, technical consultation, design enablement, assembly, and testing—to accelerate innovation and reduce time-to-market.
Suman Narayan, CEO of Cyient Semiconductors, stated, “This partnership unlocks a new dimension in our growth strategy. It enables us to serve the fast-growing ecosystem of fabless companies with access to world-class foundry capabilities and advanced technologies from GlobalFoundries. Combined with our turnkey ASIC capabilities, we are positioned to accelerate innovation across automotive, industrial, medical, and communication sectors.”
A dedicated team has been established by Cyient Semiconductors to ensure smooth coordination, technical support, and service delivery for clients. Samuel Vicari, Chief Customer Officer at GlobalFoundries, commented, “Cyient Semiconductors brings strong domain expertise, customer-centricity, and complementary design capabilities that align perfectly with our mission. Together, we will enable next-generation companies to scale faster and smarter, without compromising on the quality and reliability expected from a global foundry.”
The agreement also strengthens GlobalFoundries’ channel strategy to serve high-potential but underserved customers while allowing Cyient Semiconductors to enhance its role in the global semiconductor value chain.
