LG Electronics Unveils “AI in Action” Vision at World Premiere

LG Electronics unveiled its “AI in Action” strategy at the LG World Premiere, its annual pre-CES event in Las Vegas, outlining how artificial intelligence will deliver practical, everyday value across homes, vehicles and commercial infrastructure. The approach is built on three pillars: excellence in core devices, a seamlessly orchestrated ecosystem, and the expansion of AI-driven solutions beyond the home.

Addressing global media and industry stakeholders, Lyu Jae-cheol said the company’s Affectionate Intelligence has evolved from conversational capability to action-oriented intelligence that actively manages devices, spaces and services. This vision underpins LG’s “Zero Labor Home” concept, where intelligent appliances function as agent devices within a unified AI system to reduce daily physical and mental effort.

As a key expression of this vision, LG introduced LG CLOiD, a home-specialised AI robot designed to act as an ambient-care agent. Equipped to understand context, orchestrate household tasks and adapt to changing conditions, LG CLOiD demonstrated capabilities such as proactive suggestions, climate control, laundry handling and household organisation.

LG also showcased AI-enabled product innovations, including the ultra-slim LG OLED evo W6 Wallpaper TV featuring Hyper Radiant Color and True Wireless technology, and an advanced LG SIGNATURE refrigerator with conversational AI and ingredient recognition. The LG SIGNATURE oven range further demonstrated AI-driven cooking assistance through curated recipe guidance.

Beyond the home, LG outlined its expansion into AI-powered in-vehicle solutions and high-efficiency HVAC systems for AI data centres, reinforcing its ambition to build a fully connected ecosystem spanning residential, mobility and commercial environments.
