Enlight Metals Launches AI-Enabled 24-Hour Metal Procurement

Enlight Metals has introduced an AI-enabled 24-hour metal procurement and delivery model aimed at helping manufacturers source ready-stock steel faster and improve supply chain efficiency.

The platform uses artificial intelligence to analyse supplier availability, inventory levels, pricing, logistics readiness and regional demand in real time. According to the company, the system has reduced end-to-end transaction processing time by 75% and increased daily order handling capacity tenfold without expanding administrative headcount.

Enlight Metals said its AI-driven demand forecasting and supplier matching have also reduced inventory carrying costs by more than 30% and lowered manual administrative effort by over 60%. Supplier discovery and price matching have been accelerated by 80%.

The company has achieved a 98.5% success rate in meeting its 24-hour delivery commitment for ready-stock steel, while order processing accuracy has improved to 99.4%.

Dhananjay Goel, Managing Director, Enlight Metals, said manufacturing has adopted AI across production processes, while procurement has largely remained dependent on manual coordination and delayed decision-making. He added that the company’s model is designed to help manufacturers shift from reactive sourcing towards predictive procurement.

The platform is supporting manufacturers across automotive, renewable energy, engineering, infrastructure, industrial equipment and electrical sectors, where uninterrupted material availability is critical.

Enlight Metals plans to further strengthen its AI capabilities through predictive sourcing and deeper enterprise integration, enabling manufacturers to anticipate demand, automate replenishment and improve supply chain resilience.
