Enlight Metals Plans 200 Channel Partners Across India

Enlight Metals has announced a national channel expansion strategy for its slotted angle and storage solutions business, with plans to onboard nearly 200 strategic channel partners across India over the next 12 to 18 months.

The company said the expansion supports its transition from a technology-led metal aggregation platform to a manufacturing-driven industrial solutions company. It is targeting high-growth industrial corridors across Maharashtra, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Telangana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Haryana and NCR, with key markets including Pune, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Raipur, Faridabad, Indore and Nagpur.

Vedant Goel, Director, Enlight Metals, said the company aims to build a pan-India industrial distribution network with deep regional penetration, enabling customers across industrial zones, warehousing clusters and emerging business centres to access standardised products, faster delivery and dependable support.

Enlight Metals has entered large-scale contract manufacturing and value-added production, and is expanding in the slotted angle segment with a planned annual capacity of around 25,000 metric tonnes. The company said it is targeting a market estimated at nearly Rs 20,000 crore, which remains largely fragmented and unorganised.

While the current focus is on slotted angles and storage solutions, the company plans to build capabilities across structural steel products, cable management systems, solar mounting structures and engineered metal solutions.

Goel added that the channel partner ecosystem will be an important pillar of the company’s long-term growth strategy as India’s industrial and infrastructure sectors expand.

Jharkhand Researchers Develop Eco-Friendly Solar Cell

A team from the Department of Energy Engineering at the Central University of Jharkhand (CUJ) has developed an eco-friendly solar cell that uses a plant-based natural dye extracted from the petals of Mirabilis jalapa (commonly known as Gulabbas or Four O'Clock Flower). The researchers described the work as part of ongoing laboratory studies to explore sustainable alternatives to conventional photovoltaics. The device builds on dye-sensitised solar cell concepts adapted for locally available botanical materials. The lead researcher said the developed solar cell had achieved a highest power conv..
