Gurugram Service Lane on Delhi-Jaipur Highway Closed for Two Months

The service lane on the Delhi-Jaipur highway in Gurugram will remain closed for two months from Tuesday as the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) carries out stormwater drain construction. The restriction covers the service road between the Rampura Chowk flyover and IMT Manesar and will start at six am and remain in place until 15 October, the Gurugram traffic police said. The closure is intended to allow uninterrupted work on drainage infrastructure along the corridor.

The restriction affects the service road that carries traffic from Delhi towards Jaipur and authorities have issued an advisory identifying six traffic diversions for motorists using the affected stretch. Commuters are advised to follow designated alternate routes during the construction period to limit congestion and ensure safety. Traffic management measures have been planned to coordinate movement through adjoining sectors.

Motorists travelling from Jaipur towards Delhi and heading for Rampura should follow the designated diversion route, while those bound for Naurangpur are advised to take a U-turn before the Kherki Daula toll plaza and continue towards Naurangpur. Vehicles moving from IMT Manesar to Sector 85 have been directed to take the Rampura exit and proceed towards Sector 85. The arrangements are intended to maintain connectivity between industrial and residential areas during the works.

Commuters travelling from Rampura towards Jaipur have been directed to use the service road through Sector 85, take a U-turn before the Kherki Daula toll plaza and then rejoin the Delhi-Jaipur highway. Those travelling from Sector 85 towards Rampura and Naurangpur have been advised to use the Rampura flyover directly. The diversions cover areas from Sector 76 to Sector 80 where GMDA is executing the stormwater drain works. The Gurugram traffic police have urged motorists to plan their journeys, observe traffic rules and exercise patience while the works are underway to safeguard their own safety and that of others.
