JK Tyre Launches India’s First Embedded Smart Tyres

New Delhi, November 10, 2025 – JK Tyre & Industries has launched India’s first Embedded Smart Tyres for passenger vehicles, marking a major leap in connected and intelligent mobility. Designed and developed in-house at the company’s Banmore facility in Madhya Pradesh, the new range integrates advanced sensors directly into the tyre structure.

The embedded sensors continuously monitor parameters such as air pressure, temperature, and potential air leaks, delivering real-time data to enhance safety, performance, and fuel efficiency. Beyond improved driving safety, the tyres are engineered for longer tread life and reduced environmental impact.

Advancing Homegrown Innovation The launch strengthens JK Tyre’s commitment to the Aatmanirbhar Bharat and Make in India initiatives, highlighting its leadership in indigenous technological innovation.

Speaking at the launch, Dr Raghupati Singhania, Chairman & Managing Director, JK Tyre & Industries, said, “The launch of our Embedded Smart Tyres marks a defining milestone in JK Tyre’s innovation journey. By integrating intelligence at the core of performance, we are transforming the way India drives—making mobility smarter, safer, and more sustainable.”

Building on a Legacy of Smart Mobility The new product follows JK Tyre’s pioneering SMART Tyre technology introduced in 2019 through TREEL sensors, which combined Tyre Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS) with cloud-based analytics. Widely adopted across dealer networks, the system has benefited both fleet operators and individual consumers.

Initially available in sizes from 14 to 17 inches, the Embedded Smart Tyres will be sold through JK Tyre’s nationwide dealership network.

Through continuous research, engineering, and sustainability-driven design, JK Tyre continues to redefine the Indian tyre landscape—cementing its position as a frontrunner in smart, connected, and energy-efficient mobility solutions.
