Nitish Kumar Lays Foundation for Rs 10 Billion Projects in Bihar

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar laid the foundation stone for multiple urban development projects worth Rs 10 billion under the Comprehensive Urban Development Scheme of Bihar Urban Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited. The ceremony took place in Patna and covered 1,327 projects aimed at improving urban infrastructure.

Kumar also inaugurated an Integrated Control and Command Centre (ICCC) that connects nine pumping facilities in Patna. These facilities are equipped with integrated sensors for water level, temperature, and vibration, enabling automatic pump operation to maintain optimal water levels.

The new system is designed to regulate water levels effectively, ensuring pumps activate timely to prevent waterlogging during the monsoon season, thereby improving city drainage and flood management.

These initiatives reflect the Bihar government’s focus on modernising infrastructure and addressing urban challenges through technology and development projects.
