PRSI & UTECH ISPUF 2024 Wraps Up with Record Industry Participation

The debut editions of the Plastics Recycling Show India (PRSI) 2024 and UTECH India – Sustainable Polyurethane and Foam Expo (ISPUF) 2024, jointly organised by Crain Communications and Media Fusion, concluded with resounding success last December at the Bombay Exhibition Centre. The events brought together over 8,000 industry professionals and 160+ exhibitors, solidifying their positions as leading platforms for innovation and sustainable transformation in their respective sectors.

PRSI 2024 welcomed over 6,000 attendees and 120 exhibitors showcasing the latest in plastic recycling technologies, sustainable materials, and waste management. The event featured a high-impact conference addressing Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), regulatory frameworks, and advanced recycling methods. The Plastics Recycling Awards India celebrated innovation and excellence, with winners including Ganesha Ecosphere, Pashupati Group, DOMO Engineering Plastics India, Ishitva Robotic Systems, and Banyan Nation.

Simultaneously, ISPUF 2024, alongside the Sleep Expo India Pavilion, drew 2,700+ visitors and around 50 exhibitors, presenting innovations in polyurethane and foam applications. An 18-speaker conference explored sustainable PU solutions, advanced manufacturing, mattress production, and evolving regulations.

Mr Taher Patrawala, Managing Director, Media Fusion, remarked: "PRSI & UTECH ISPUF 2024 have reaffirmed the critical importance of collaborative, innovation-driven platforms in pushing the boundaries of sustainability and circular economy practices. The exceptional response reflects the industry’s strong commitment to sustainable development."

Backed by major associations like the Builders’ Association of India, Indian Plastics Institute, and Association of PET Recyclers Bharat (APR Bharat), both events were widely supported by stakeholders advocating responsible waste management and green innovation.

Following the overwhelming success, organisers have announced the second editions of PRSI and UTECH ISPUF, scheduled from 13–15 November 2025 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai. The upcoming expos promise broader participation, deeper insights, and enriched networking, continuing to shape the future of sustainability in materials innovation.
