PTC Expands Mehsana Plant To Boost Precision Manufacturing

PTC Industries Limited, a leading producer of high-precision castings and advanced materials for critical applications, has commenced a significant expansion of its investment-casting facility in Mehsana, Gujarat.

With global supply chains undergoing a strategic realignment, industries are increasingly shifting production to resilient and trusted destinations. India is emerging as a major hub for precision manufacturing, creating substantial opportunities for industrial casting exports. In response, PTC is scaling and modernising its Mehsana site to capture rising global demand.

The expansion will increase the plant’s capacity several-fold over the coming years. It includes the installation of advanced manufacturing systems, robotic equipment, and automated fettling technologies. These investments aim to improve efficiency, enhance repeatability, increase throughput, uphold world-class quality, and reduce the company’s carbon footprint.

Situated on a 17-acre campus, the Mehsana unit is one of PTC’s central production bases, supplying precision cast components to global original equipment manufacturers across multiple sectors. The expansion will add more than 50,000 square feet of new shop-floor space and substantially strengthen the company’s machining and casting capabilities.

Commenting on the development, Mr Sachin Agarwal, Chairman and Managing Director of PTC Industries Ltd, said, “Global manufacturing is undergoing a structural shift, and this presents an unprecedented opportunity for India to emerge as a trusted supply partner for complex, high-precision components. Our investment in Mehsana is both timely and strategic—it reinforces PTC’s ability to serve global industrial customers with scale, technology, and reliability. This expansion is instrumental in building one of the most advanced and efficient casting facilities in India.”

The groundbreaking ceremony for the expansion was recently held at the Mehsana site, attended by senior leaders and employees of the company. The development underscores PTC’s long-term vision of creating a globally integrated, technology-driven manufacturing ecosystem across its industrial, aerospace, and defence businesses
