REC Wins ET Infra Leadership Award for Green-Financed Projects

REC Limited, a Maharatna PSU under the Ministry of Power and one of India’s leading NBFCs, has received the Economic Times Infra Leadership Award 2025 for its contribution to green-financed infrastructure. The company was recognised in two categories for landmark projects supported through sustainable funding—the Mumbai Metro and the 500 MW solar power project at Anantapur. Kuldeep Rai, Executive Director, and Debasis Mitra, General Manager, accepted the award on behalf of REC at the second edition of the ET Infra Leadership Summit and Awards. The Mumbai Metro project was commended for advancing low-carbon urban mobility and contributing to sustainable city development. The honours reinforce REC’s leadership in accelerating low-carbon transport, strengthening renewable energy ecosystems and financing infrastructure aligned with India’s climate goals. Through its green and innovative financing solutions, REC continues to support nationally significant projects and contribute to India’s journey towards Viksit Bharat 2047 and global sustainability targets.
