Tata Consultancy Services unit HyperVault will set up a Rs 700 billion (700 bn) artificial intelligence data centre campus in Hyderabad, the company said. The investment is described as aimed at hosting large generative models and providing secure data storage and high performance computing for enterprise customers. The campus is planned to incorporate redundancy and resilience features to meet enterprise uptime requirements. The campus is planned as a consolidated facility to accommodate data infrastructure, advanced cooling and power systems and staging areas for AI workloads. TCS said the project is intended to strengthen digital infrastructure and support the deployment of foundation models and related services across sectors. Design considerations include energy efficiency and modular deployment to accommodate evolving AI workloads. Company officials indicated the development is expected to accelerate local technology investment and create ancillary opportunities for suppliers and service providers. The initiative follows a broader industry push to expand capacity for cloud and AI services in India and to attract global workloads to domestic centres. Analysts noted that domestic infrastructure of this scale can influence corporate cloud strategies and regional data handling practices. Local training programmes and vendor engagements are expected to support skills development around AI operations and maintenance. The project aligns with TCS's HyperVault offering, which the firm positions as a platform for secure AI data management and compute orchestration. The company framed the campus as part of efforts to provide enterprise customers with compliant data residency, enhanced data governance and simplified model operations. The campus is described as compatible with hybrid cloud architectures and with controls to support regulatory compliance. Officials said the Hyderabad campus will be integrated with the firm's global delivery footprint to serve multinational clients and domestic organisations alike. The investment is set to bolster regional capabilities as companies ramp AI initiatives.
