KEC International bags order for civil, oil and gas pipeline business

KEC International has won an order worth Rs 1,415 crore for civil, oil and gas pipeline businesses in India.

It has received the order for constructing an elevated viaduct, with 11 stations from Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) in a joint venture (JV) partner and civil infra works in the defence segment from a defence entity.

It has also received an order for laying an oil and gas pipeline from Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) from its subsidiary, Spur Infrastructure.

CEO and Managing Director of KEC International, Vimal Kejriwal, said that the order has significantly enhanced the company's order book in the urban infra segment. It is currently executing seven regional rapid transit system (RRTS) projects. He said that the company's defence order had strengthened its portfolio in the civil business.
