Ayodhya Gears Up With Tight Security for Ram Temple Event

With the flag-hoisting ceremony at the Ram Temple scheduled for 25 November, extensive security and logistical arrangements have been put in place at Ayodhya airport and across the city, officials said. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several other VVIPs will attend the ceremony.

Ayodhya airport director Dhirendra Singh said arrangements had been made for managing 40 to 80 chartered aircraft, which will be parked at nearby airports. Around 100 additional CISF personnel will be deployed for enhanced security. A special lounge is being prepared for the Prime Minister, while six VIP lounges will accommodate the chief minister, the governor and other senior dignitaries. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is expected to review the preparations on Tuesday.

The temple trust has advised all invitees to arrive on 24 November. To accommodate guests, the trust has booked 1,600 hotel rooms and set up tent cities. Trust general secretary Champat Rai said that entry for the ceremony will take place between 7:30 AM and 9:00 AM on 25 November.

Additional medical arrangements have also been made. Fifty beds at Ayodhya Medical College have been reserved for emergencies, supported by around two dozen doctors and a large paramedical team, according to District Magistrate Nikhil Tikaram Funde.

Ayodhya MLA Ved Prakash Gupta said preparations will be reviewed in detail with trust officials and public representatives at a meeting in the Ram Janmabhoomi complex, in the presence of the chief minister.
