Boeing opens first India hub, teams up with DB Schenker

Boeing, the global aviation giant, officially opened its Boeing India Distribution Centre in Khurja, Uttar Pradesh. This event marked a noteworthy achievement in Boeing's dedication to the thriving Indian aviation market. The state-of-the-art parts warehouse, spanning 36,000 square feet, is positioned to play a pivotal role in supporting regional aviation customers. It underscores Boeing's commitment to delivering efficient, cost-effective, and local solutions.

Salil Gupte, President of Boeing India, emphasized the strategic importance of the center, expressing, "The Boeing India Distribution Centre illustrates Boeing's commitment to supporting the growth of this market, aligned with the Government's Aatmanirbhar Bharat vision." The facility aims to address emergency spare parts needs for Boeing aircraft in India. This approach is geared towards reducing lead times, improving availability, and strengthening the region's Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) industry.

Located strategically along India's Eastern Freight Corridor, in close proximity to Delhi and the upcoming Jewar airport, this distribution centre reaffirms Boeing's dedication to supporting growth and self-reliance objectives in India. Operating in collaboration with DB Schenker, a leading logistics provider, the warehouse prioritizes innovation, safety, and sustainability.

William Ampofo, Vice President of Parts & Distribution Services and Supply Chain at Boeing Global Services, highlighted the broader strategy, stating, "The India Distribution Centre represents another significant step forward in Boeing's strategy to provide parts and services when and where customers need them." This facility is one of eight distribution centres globally specifically catering to Boeing's commercial customers.
