The project is being spearheaded by Flughafen Z?rich AG, the operator of Switzerland's Zurich Airport, who successfully secured the bid for the development and operation of Jewar Airport for a substantial 40-year duration. Anticipated to commence operations by the end of 2024, this airport has a rich history, with its inception dating back to 2001 when it was first proposed by the then Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Rajnath Singh. Located just 7 kilometers from Jewar in the Gautam Buddha Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh, the Noida International Airport (NIA) is poised to mark a significant milestone in India's aviation landscape.
