Jewar's Noida Airport: Test flights begin March, flight starts in October

The Noida International Airport in Jewar is approaching the deadline, and it is expected that test flights will commence in March-April.

It was mentioned that the construction of the terminal building is almost finished, and the runway and air traffic control (ATC) building were completed a month ago.

According to the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA), approximately 7,800 individuals are working tirelessly day and night to expedite the completion of the project.

The YEIDA also mentioned that the interior work of the terminal building will commence shortly, with an estimated completion time of the next four months.

Recent reports indicate that the Airport Authority has initiated the installation of reflectors and signage on the runway. Simultaneously, equipment and machines are being set up in the ATC building.

Regarding connectivity, a new expressway spanning around 32 kilometers will be established for the Noida International Airport. It is said to extend from Kalindi Kunj in Delhi to Agra Express via Noida Sector-150.

This expressway is set to connect with the Mumbai-Vadodara Expressway through a rotary in Delhi. The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) will be responsible for the construction of this expressway.
