Mangaluru International Airport in Karnataka, India, is set to begin rehabilitation/recarpeting works on its runway 06/24. Beginning January 27 2023, the works will be conducted for more than four months until May 31. During this period, the runway will be shut for operation. The 2,450 m long and 45 m wide concrete runway was launched to traffic in May 2006. MIA is said to be the first airport in the state to have two runways, and also the first to have a rigid pavement or concrete runway.
