Govt Approves Rs 4.45 Billion Mokama-Munger Highway Project

The government on Wednesday approved the construction of the 4-lane Mokama-Munger section of the Buxar-Bhagalpur high-speed corridor in Bihar at a total cost of Rs 4.45 billion.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The 82.4 km Mokama-Munger section will be constructed under the Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM), Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw told reporters.
The corridor will pass through or provide connectivity to key regional cities such as Mokama, Barahiya, Lakhisarai, Jamalpur and Munger, linking them to Bhagalpur.
