Rajasthan’s Gehlot okays Rs 1.19 bn for roads in state

The Rajasthan government has approved a financial proposal of Rs 1.19 billion for various road construction and development works in the state. According to an official statement, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has given the financial approval.

With this, 46 works including bridges, new roads, road widening, strengthening, asphalting and repair and reconstruction of dilapidated roads will be started in different districts and completed in a time-bound manner, it said.

Gehlot had announced in the budget of fiscal 2022-23 that maximum financial resources would be made available to develop road network in all the districts of the state, the statement said.
