Talcher Road – Angul Doubling Project to be Completed Soon

The East Coast Railway said on Saturday that the ongoing doubling work between Talcher Road and Angul on the Bhubaneswar/Cuttack-Angul-Sambalpur Railway Route would be finished as soon as possible.

This is a major project in Odisha for a crucial rail link, and once it is finished, the train traffic on the route would run smoothly. Roop Narayan Sunkar, the general manager, had ordered officials to finish this crucial project as soon as possible, and he constantly checked on the development in this area.

One of the most important and significant projects in Odisha is this infrastructure and traffic facility improvement. The general manager emphasised that effective planning, effective tendering, and oversight of work execution were crucial for this project's success. Furthermore, proper coordination has been emphasised.

In Odisha, this project is crucial. Once the project is finished, it will give the already congested Talcher Angul portion a crucial railway link. The General Manager of ECoR had earlier given the staff instructions to make sure that passengers are not inconvenienced in any way.

Therefore, it is planned to cancel trains as little as possible. In this regard, it has been determined to carry out significant safety-related work involving train cancellations, detours, and controls as per the following.

Cancellation of Trains:
22839/22840 On December 12, the Rourkela-Bhubaneswar-Rourkela Super-Fast Inter City Express in both ways would remain cancelled. The 18125/18126 Rourkela-Puri-Rourkela Express will also stay cancelled from Rourkela from December 11 through December 13 and from Puri from December 12 through December 14, 2022.

Diversion of Trains:
