UPPWD seeks bids for Two-Lane NH Project in UP

The Ministry of Road Transport & Highways through Uttar Pradesh Public Works Department is engaged in the development of National Highways and as part of this endeavor, it has been decided to undertake work of Improvement and up-gradation from Km 29+000 (Sarpur) to Km 47+878/47+800 (Gosaiganj) of NH-227B (Sarpur to Gosaiganj Section) to two lane with paved shoulder configuration under EPC mode in the State of Uttar Pradesh.

The tender seeks civil work- roads worth Rs. 5,91,28,00,000 crore to be completed in 730 days. As per the tender, the bid validity will be 120 days, and it will be an open bidding process. The bid submission period began on June 19, 2023 and will end on August 2, 2023.

About UPPWD:
The Uttar Pradesh Public Works Department (UPPWD) is responsible for the construction, maintenance, and improvement of roads and bridges in the state of Uttar Pradesh. The UPPWD has played a major role in the development of National Highways in the state.

In 2021-22, the UPPWD completed 51 projects under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), which is a central government scheme for the construction of rural roads. The UPPWD also completed 16 projects under the Bharatmala Pariyojana, which is a central government scheme for the development of national highways.

The UPPWD has also undertaken a number of other projects to improve the condition of national highways in the state. These projects include widening and strengthening of existing roads, construction of new bypasses, and construction of bridges.
