Gurugram Metro Project: Survey tender marks a milestone

Progress has finally been made on the highly anticipated Gurugram Metro project, as the Haryana Mass Rapid Transport Corporation has launched the tender for the geo-technical survey of a 12.76km section of the upcoming 28.60km line.

This new expansion will create a link between the existing Metro rail line from Huda City Centre to Old Gurugram, extending further to CyberHub in a loop, thus establishing comprehensive connectivity throughout the city.

Furthermore, an additional stretch will be constructed, connecting Palam Vihar to Dwarka's Sector 21, in order to establish a connection with the Delhi Metro's Blue Line. The survey will provide a thorough examination of the soil and rock conditions along this route, aiding in the selection of appropriate foundations and design calculations for the elevated corridor.

In October 2022, the detailed project report received approval from the state cabinet, and according to the state's Chief Minister, civil work is expected to commence in the near future.
