Railway Minister announces Vande Bharat train operation to Khajuraho

Minister of Railway, Ashwini Vaishnaw, told the media that the Indian Railways is committed to providing world-class facilities at stations during his visit to Khajuraho Jhansi Expressway. The Minister of Railways announced the operation of the Made in India Vande Bharat Express train from Khajuraho.

He had reviewed the works under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Yojana (PMGY) in the Bundelkhand region. He took reserve of the development projects of the Maharaja Chhatrasal Convention Centre area.

Vaishnaw added that now railway tickets will be available from 45,000 post offices. The Road Over Bridge (ROB) or Road Under Bridge (RUB) will be constructed at crucial places.

He said that the operation of Bharat Gaurav trains like Ramayana Express and electrification would be completed by August. Until then, the Vande Bharat Express trains will also start rolling out.

According to Vaishnaw, the vision of PM Narendra Modi is to serve the people has to be followed in spirit while doing the development of the region.

The Minister said about the redevelopment of the Khajuraho railway station to make it a world-class railway station. Vaishnaw, the local administration, and the national transporter encouraged the farmers to install solar plants on their land to increase their income.

According to Vaishnaw, the pilot project is to be started with Bundelkhand, and the land will be identified. The land will be identified jointly by the Railway and District Administration Kisan Morcha.

The Railway Minister said that the One Station One Product Scheme is expanding so local items could be available in the market through railway stations. Over 1,000 railway stations will come under this scheme, including Chhatarpur station. The limestone industries near Panna are to be linked with Indian Railways.
