2 Goods Train Wagons, Engine Derail on Private Track in UP's Sonbhadra

Two wagons and the locomotive of a private goods train derailed on a rail track maintained by a power plant, according to officials. The incident, which occurred at around 11:30 am in the Shaktinagar area, resulted in no injuries, the police reported.

The train, which was transporting coal from Northern Coalfield (NCL) in Khadia to the Anpara power plant, was affected by the derailment, officials noted.

The Railways confirmed that the track, wagons, and locomotive were all owned by the power plant.

SP Yadav, the Executive Engineer of the Anpara power plant, stated that it would take a day to repair the track. He also mentioned that an alternate train line was available, ensuring that coal supply to the plant would continue.
