21 stations in Telangana undergo transformation in Amrit Bharat Scheme

The federal government has taken a momentous stride in bolstering railway infrastructure and passenger conveniences. This move entails the green light for the expansion of 21 railway stations within the state, falling under the Amrit Bharat Station initiative, with a combined investment of Rs 8.94 billion.

The chosen stations for this transformative endeavour encompass Adilabad, Basara, Begumpet, Bhadrachalam Road, Gadwal, Hafizpet, Hi-Tech City, Uppuguda, Hyderabad (Nampally), Jadcherla, Jangaon, Kachiguda, Kamareddy, Karimnagar, Kazipet Junction, Khammam, Lingapally, Madhira, Mahabubabad, Mahbubnagar, Malakpet, Malkajgiri, Mancherial, Medchal, Miryalguda, Nalgonda, Nizamabad, Peddapalli, Ramagundam, Secunderabad, Shadnagar, Sri Bala Brahmeswara Jogulamba, Tandoor, Umdanagar, Vikarabad, Warangal, Yadadri, Yakutpura, and Zaheerabad.

Out of these stations, Hyderabad railway station commands the lion's share of Rs 3.09 million (accounting for 54 per cent) for an all-encompassing overhaul, trailed by Nizamabad (Rs 533 million), Kamareddy (Rs 399 million), Mahbubnagar (Rs 399 million), and Mahabubabad (Rs 397 million).

This initiative finds its roots in the 'Amrit Bharat Stations' program, a nationwide endeavour initiated by the central government to elevate station capacity and modernise railway amenities to cater to the evolving demands of passengers. In Telangana, a grand total of 39 stations have been singled out for upliftment under this scheme. The first phase, comprising the development of 21 stations in Telangana, inaugurated on August 6, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This project stands as a significant leap toward furnishing improved services and conveniences to railway passengers within the state.

Creativity is for Humans, Productivity is for Robots!

But increasingly, new sounds are entering the mix: the quiet efficiency of algorithms, the hum of drones overhead, and the precision of robotic arms at work. Behind the concrete and cables, an invisible force is taking hold: data. It is turning blueprints into living simulations, managing fleets of machines, and helping engineers make decisions before a single brick is laid. This is not the construction of tomorrow; it is the architecture of today – built on ..
