BSNL, ACES India Enable Mobile Network in Kanpur Metro

In a significant advancement for digital infrastructure in urban transport, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) and ACES India have partnered to provide uninterrupted voice and data connectivity across the underground corridors of Kanpur Metro. This collaboration marks a milestone as Uttar Pradesh's first metro project with full underground mobile network coverage.

As part of the agreement, ACES India has designed and deployed a cutting-edge In-Building Solution (IBS) to extend BSNL's network throughout all underground metro stations and tunnels. The initiative ensures that commuters experience seamless mobile signal strength and uninterrupted data access while traveling through subterranean stretches.

A recent live demonstration showcased full mobile coverage and high-speed data services throughout the underground sections, validating the technical success of the deployment and reaffirming the partners’ commitment to improving commuter experience through smart digital solutions.

This initiative strengthens BSNL's role in India’s smart city vision, reinforcing its capabilities in delivering robust telecom infrastructure for high-density urban transit systems. It also cements ACES India’s leadership in next-generation connectivity deployments supporting smart, connected mobility solutions across the country.
