Indore Metro to use gainfully vacant space below stations

Indore Metro is exploring ways to utilize the vacant spaces beneath its metro stations. Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MPMRCL) Managing Director S Krishna Chaitanya has instructed officials to identify these spaces and propose potential uses, such as parking or plantation.

During a site inspection of the metro corridor, Chaitanya emphasized the need to remove unused barricades along the route to ease traffic flow. He directed that barricades be placed only where necessary, ensuring they do not obstruct traffic or inconvenience the public.

The final decision on the use of vacant space is still pending, with officials considering options for parking, green spaces, and more. The metro project continues to focus on enhancing urban mobility while also addressing environmental concerns.
