Infopark to Construct Flexi Workspaces in Kochi Metro Station

Infopark and Kochi Metro Rail Limited (KMRL) join forces to establish flexible workspaces within Kochi Metro stations. The memorandum of understanding (MoU) inked between the entities marks an innovative initiative to integrate contemporary work environments with metro infrastructure, enhancing convenience and accessibility for professionals in Kochi.

This collaborative effort aims to create a symbiotic relationship between transit and workspaces, offering commuters and professionals the convenience of flexible office setups within the metro stations. The initiative reflects a forward-thinking approach to urban planning, optimising the utility of metro infrastructure for diverse purposes beyond transportation.

By introducing flexi workspaces in Kochi Metro stations, Infopark and KMRL anticipate fostering a dynamic and efficient ecosystem where professionals can seamlessly transition between their daily commute and work tasks. This pioneering collaboration signifies a strategic effort to maximise the functionality of urban spaces for the benefit of the community.

Implementation Status of Jal Jeevan Mission

Since August 2019 the Government has implemented Jal Jeevan Mission to provide assured potable water through household tap connections in rural India. At the start of the mission only 32.3 million (mn) rural households, representing 16.7 per cent, were reported to have tap water connections. States and union territories have reported that 125.8 mn additional rural households have since been provided with tap connections. Empowering Local Governance for Sustainable Rural Water Supply

The Ministry of Jal Shakti has aligned the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) with the 73rd Amendment to strengthen village level planning and community ownership of water supply.
