JMD Consultants and NCES win Rs 1.92 billion contracts from DMRC

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has awarded a Rs 1.92 billion contract for train operation services on the Yellow and Violet lines of the Delhi Metro network. The Yellow Line covers the Kashmere Gate and Qutub Minar sections, while the Violet Line covers the Badarpur Border section. The technical bids for the contract were opened on March 22, 2024, with the financial bids following on June 20, 2024. The contract was officially awarded on August 9, 2024, with a project timeline of 2,310 days, extending from 2024 to 2031. Out of five bidders, JMD Consultants secured the contract for the Yellow Line, and Nuvision Commercial and Escort Services (NCES) won the contract for the Violet Line, each valued at Rs 960 million. The Yellow Line spans approximately 20.2 km, while the Violet Line covers 13.4 km.
