L&T Hyderabad Metro Wins UITP Asia Pacific Honour

L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Ltd (L&TMRHL) has secured a Special Recognition Award for the Asia Pacific region at the UITP Awards 2025 in Hamburg. Supported by Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority, the accolade celebrates L&TMRHL’s project, “Optimised Metro Operation Plans Leading to Increased Revenue per Train”.

The International Association of Public Transport (UITP) received more than 500 submissions from transit operators worldwide for this year’s awards, which honour projects reshaping urban mobility. Entered in the Operational Excellence category, L&TMRHL’s data led initiative was shortlisted among the top five and singled out for its measurable impact on efficiency and earnings.

Managing Director and CEO K V B Reddy said the award underscores the company’s commitment to innovation, operational rigour and commuter centric solutions.
